Facials & Skincare with Heidi
Hi I’m Heidi!
Heidi is an Arroyo Grande native, born and raised, and has spent most of her life in the service industry. She is at her happiest when she is looking after people, and she has built a career out of it.
Her years have been split between California's Central Coast and Aspen, Colorado, meeting people from all over the world along the way. She spends her time outdoors, in yoga, in movement, and in most of the wellness life has to offer, and she carries a line she actually believes: it's never too late to be what you're meant to be.
Skincare has always been the passion. Heidi is a licensed esthetician with a medical assisting background, which sharpened both her understanding of skin and the way she cares for the person attached to it. In 2000 she opened Tan Your Hide and grew it into a full day spa, which gave her the whole spectrum of experience, from the treatment room to the front desk.
At GSD she works with professional Dermalogica products and treatments. Every facial begins with a personalized skin analysis, so what she recommends comes from the skin in front of her that day rather than a set menu. If your routine at home is already working, she'll tell you to leave it alone.
She's looking forward to meeting you.
Every signature facial includes
Every signature facial starts with a personalized skin analysis, so nothing is decided before Heidi has actually looked at your skin. From there it's a double cleanse, professional exfoliation, and a treatment mask chosen for what your skin needs that day, along with a neck, shoulder and scalp massage while it works. You finish with professional serums, a moisturizer matched to your skin type, and SPF, because at this altitude that last step is what protects everything that came before it.

Every four to six weeks for most people. Your skin turns over roughly every 28 days, so that timing keeps you working with the cycle instead of starting over each visit. If you're treating something specific like acne scarring or pigmentation, Heidi will usually recommend a shorter series first, then space you out to maintenance. If you've never had a facial before, come once and decide from there. There's no package you have to commit to.
-
Some, but less than people expect.
After a Pro Power Peel, most people are pink for a few hours and may notice light flaking on days two through four. You can go back to work the same day. Plan it at least a week before a wedding or a photo, not the day before.
After microneedling, expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for about 24 to 48 hours. Skip makeup for the first day, and skip the sauna, hot yoga and hard workouts for two to three days while your skin settles.
For both, stay out of direct sun and wear SPF. Heidi will send you home knowing exactly what to do and what to avoid.
-
Not much. Come as you are, with or without makeup, and Heidi will take it off.
A few things do help. Stop retinol and exfoliating acids about three to five days before a peel or microneedling. Don't wax or use hair removal cream on your face for a week beforehand. Skip the tanning bed and heavy sun exposure. And let Heidi know ahead of time if you're pregnant, on any acne medication, prone to cold sores, or have had a recent cosmetic procedure, so she can adjust the plan.
-
Yes. Heidi works with professional Dermalogica products, and she'll tell you which two or three are worth your money for your skin, not the whole shelf. If your routine at home is already working, she'll leave it alone.

Massage Therapy with Pati
Hi I’m Pati!
Raised in the Roaring Fork Valley. She has always had a deep appreciation for an active and balanced lifestyle. Pati enjoy hiking, running, Pilates and snowboarding in my free time. I believe that staying connected to our bodies is an essential part of overall well-being.
As a massage therapist she is passionate about the connection between mind and body. She take a holistic approach to care and create a peaceful relaxing environment where my clients can slow down, release stress and tension and to take a moment to reconnect with themselves. I believe massage can be a meaningful part of a balanced wellness practice, each session is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life, listen to your body and create a space for restoration and renewal.
Ski days, bike season, hiking at 6,000 feet, and a lot of time in the car between towns. Most bodies here are carrying some version of the same handful of things. If you've been telling yourself you'll deal with your hip after the season ends, this is the appointment for that.
